Charting Her Own Course in the Climate Movement 

Congratulations to Meals That Matter’s Founder & Director, Melody Li, on being featured in Canada’s National Observer’s Youth climate action special report! Since pivoting to the environmental nonprofit sector in 2024, Melody has been actively engaged in deeply meaningful work at the intersection of environmental and social impact—including leading and scaling Meals That Matter’s next phase, From Rescue to Table: Community Kitchens Across Cultures, which brings communities together to transform rescued surplus food into affordable, culturally rooted meals while advancing climate-positive food practices across the GTA.

Thirty Local Leaders from Ontario Selected As 2025 Ontario Community Changemakers 

Big news! Meals That Matter’s Founder & Director, Melody Li, has been selected as one of 30 local leaders for the 2025–2026 cohort of Ontario Community Changemakers! Through this program—powered by 8 80 Cities with funding from the Balsam Foundation—which provides a $5,000 grant, ongoing leadership development, project management training, capacity building, and peer-to-peer networking, she will be scaling and leading Meals That Matter’s next phase From Rescue to Table: Community Kitchens Across Cultures.
